Bhraajate iti Bhraajishnuh tat sheelah
One whose nature is to shine
Sri Adi Sankara says ‘Prakaashaika rasatvaat bhraajishnuh – He is the essence of brilliance’.
Na tatra Surya bhaati Na Candra taarakam, Na imaa vidyutah bhaanti kutoyam agnih
Tameva bhaantam anubhaati sarvam tasya bhaasa sarvam idam vibhaati (Mundaka Upanishad)
Not the Sun, not the Moon and the stars, not even the fire or lightning provide energy to the Brahman. That alone when it lights up, everything gets lit! Everything that shines, shines because of Him. The radiance in the Sun, the light in the Moon and Stars, arise only because of His effulgence. Every other object merely reflects his light.
Lets chant the holy name of the most effulgent person and seek to be covered by His effulgence always. Nama 143 – Vishnusahasranama
