vāstor āṅgirasī-putro viśvakarmākṛtī-patiḥ
tato manuś cākṣuṣo ‘bhūd viśve sādhyā manoḥ sutāḥ (SB 6.6.15)
From Āṅgirasī, the wife of the Vasu named Vāstu, was born the great architect Viśvakarmā. Viśvakarmā became the husband of Ākṛtī, from whom the Manu named Cākṣuṣa was born. The sons of Manu were known as the Viśvadevas and Sādhyas.
Vishwakarma is the designer and architect of this material Universe with its 14 planetary system. This Bhu-Mandala as the earth is known is very well organized because of the intelligence behind it which is of Vishwakarma, He is the great demigod of the Universe. He works under the direction of Brahnadev. Vishwakarma is the presiding deity of all the craftsmen and architects. This great architect has designed this earth which is a round sphere. This earth is the result of intelligent design by the intelligent architect- Vishwakarma. Vishwakarma had also designed all chariots, weapons used by the demigods. He has four hands, wears a crown, loads of gold jewelry, and holds a water-pot, a book, a noose and craftsman’s tools in his hands.

In “Satya-yuga”, he built the Swarg Loka, or heaven, the abode of the demigods where Lord Indra rules.
Vishwakarma then built the ‘Sone ki Lanka’ in “Treta yuga”,
The city of Dwarka in “Dwapar yuga”,
Hastinapur and Indraprastha at the end of Dwapar yuga”
