Ishaanah means the Controller, who rules over everything. He controls both living and non-living entities. Every living entity controls something or someone. Like a mother controls the child and so on. But our control is limited to a particular time after which the control may be lost. But the Lord controls all the species at all times and His control never diminishes, so He is the Supreme Controller.
Supreme means nobody controls Him, but He controls everyone. That is Supreme. Therefore we cannot be called supreme controller. Supreme controller is Kṛṣṇa. When Kṛṣṇa was present on this planet, nobody could control Kṛṣṇa, but He controlled everyone. Nobody could control Kṛṣṇa.
yathā kanthā-paṭāḥ sutra otāḥ protāś ca sa sthitāḥ
evaṁ viṣṇāv idaṁ viśvam otaṁ protaṁ ca saṁsthitam (Skanda Purana)
Like the two threads, horizontal and vertical, of which a quilt is manufactured, Lord Viṣṇu is situated as the vertical and horizontal cause of the cosmic manifestation. (Śrīla Madhvācārya)
Clearly from all these and from Brahma Samhita we understand who is the Supreme Controller and why.
Lets chant the Holy Name of the Supreme Controller to control all our senses and regulate them in devotional service always.
