īśvaraḥ paramaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ sac-cid-ānanda-vigrahaḥ
anādir ādir govindaḥ sarva-kāraṇa-kāraṇam. (BS 1)
Govinda, Kṛṣṇa, is the cause of all causes. He is the primal cause, and He is the very form of eternity, knowledge and bliss.
The Supreme Lord is Sat-Cit-Ananda Vigraha. He is also known as Anandam Brahma. Which means the Supreme Personality of Godhead is full of transcendental bliss. The Supreme Lord Krishna is the embodiment of pure and unadulterated joy or total and complete bliss. Sarma or Sharma means the state of supreme joy.
Paramaananda Roopatvaat Sharma – He is called Sharma because he personifies the state of highest bliss – say both Parasara Bhattar and Sri Adi Sankaracharya.
The Vedānta-sūtra says ānandamayo ‘bhyāsāt (Vedānta-sūtra 1.1.12). As spirit souls, our position is ānandamāyā. Ānandamāyā means always blissful. As we are part and parcel of the Lord, the Lord is eternally blissful as He is sac-cid-ananda vigraha. We are also sat-cid-ananda, but we are not equal to Him/ We are looking for bliss without Krishna in our lives and we are not successful.
Lets chant the Holy Name of the eternally blissful personality and seek to remain in total bliss always by serving Him eternally, Singing His glories and Chanting His Name.
