The Supreme Lord Krishna is beyond anyone’s grasp. But, everything is within His grasp. Vyaala denotes elusiveness like a snake, which is slippery and elusive. The Lord is said to be elusive to demons or those with demoniac tendencies.
This also means, the Lord has a firm grasp and He never lets down one who is in His grip. We know of several instances of devotees like Prahlada born in a demoniac family, Shabari born in a very low caste family, all protected by the Lord.
While crossing a tree, the baby monkey is clinging to the mother monkey, but if it loses its grip, it is bound to fall. Whereas a cat carries its kitten by holding it gently in its mouth and thereby there is no chance for the kitten to fall down. Similarly, if a devotee accepts to remain in the grasp of the lord, under His protection, surrenders to Him, then the Lord never lets him down. Vibhishana came to Lord Rama leaving behind his brother and all wealth with complete faith and surrender unto Him and was thus accepted by the Lord. Prahlada simply surrendered to the Lord for protection and the Lord appeared as Narasimhadeva to protect him.
The elusive Lord also comes in the grasp of only His true and pure devotees bound by their love and affection. The Lord allowed Himself to be bound by mother Yashoda to the wooden mortar to create the Damodar Leela, which shwed how the Lord came in the grasp of true Love.
Let’s chant the Holy Name of the elusive Lord and seek to be in His grasp at all times to cross this material world. Lets bind Him with our pure devotion and stay safe in His grasp at all times.
