Sarva means everything and Aadi means the beginning. The Supreme Lord Krishna is the root cause of everything and is the Ultimate Cause of all Causes. He is the beginning of all beginnings.
svargāpavargayoḥ puṁsāṁ rasāyāṁ bhuvi sampadām
sarvāsām api siddhīnāṁ mūlaṁ tac-caraṇārcanam (SB 10.81.19)
Devotional service to His lotus feet is the root cause of all the perfections a person can find in heaven, in liberation, in the subterranean regions and on earth.
Supreme Lord Krishna is without a beginning or an end as He is the creator, yet He is the beginning as everything comes from Him. The Lord is the cause of all causes. Lord Ramachandra had promised Sugriva that He would kill his tyrant brother Vali, but during the fight Lord Rama couldn’t differentiate between the brothers and Sugriva got a nice beating and beat a retreat. Lord Rama then told Sugriva to wear a garland of a particular flower to differentiate between the brothers. With this assurance, Sugriva went for another fight with Vali, Lord Rama then killed Vali as per His promise to Sugriva. The lord clearly demonstrated that He being the cause of everything and also the beginning, ensure that the fruits are always made available.
Lets chant the Holy Name of the beginning of all beginnings and seek to begin our Devotional practice, true bhakti for the Supreme lord. He is the cause of all causes. For a true and pure devotee each and every event that occurs in their lives always begins with Krishna and ends with Krishna.
